LEARNING STYLE ASSESSMENTS

LEARNING STYLES

WHEN IS TRAINING TOO COSTLY?

I’m sure you can find some interesting answers to this question, but first consider what someone once quipped:

“If you think education is expensive, try ignorance.”

Now...this response is too dismissive for my taste, but it leads to some valuable insight.

And here it is: We should create a learning experience that can’t be forgotten...because forgetting is expensive.

YOU SHOULD KNOWTHE LEARNER

People are unique. So are their learning styles.

When training is created without knowing the key factors that impact each individual's best means of gaining and retaining new information, then the training is too costly.

BUDGET THE LEARNING

You may budget money for learning and development, but do you budget the learning experience?

Here’s what I mean.

Budgeting is the act of planning and allocating money to a project to ensure successful completion. It’s a smart way to avoid spending too much.

This principle applies to learning too. You can avoid losses by planning and allocating resources for the entire learning experience in a way that maximizes success.

KNOW THE LEARNING STYLES

Learning Styles, does just as its name implies: it identifies each individual’s best means for learning and retaining new information.

Some people like to learn information through:

√ Reading books and articles
√ Listening to an Instructor present
√ Watch videos lessons at their leisure

Some people best learn new information when they're all alone and have time to process it.

Others prefer to work in groups to share and compare their ideas.

And here are those who can grasp information intuitively, while others prefer to follow a firmly structure, sequential path.

Yes, this can get complicated...fast.

But, we have a solution for you to easily sort the jumbled mess by using the learning styles assessment.

If you get these things right for learners, then you can maximize your training efficiencies, enlighten your management teams and even assemble top performing teams.

In short, understanding the learning styles will help you stop worrying about keeping training costs down and increase your confidence in powering your people with profitable skills for success.

You can design and customize the learning experience on purpose a get a return on your investment from your training.
